* 1 ½ cups mashed ripe bananas (about 3 medium)
* 2 large eggs
* ¼ cup unsweetened applesauce
* 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
* 2 cups rolled oats (old-fashioned oats)
* 1 cup all-purpose flour
* ½ cup packed light brown sugar
* 1 teaspoon baking powder
* ½ teaspoon ground cinnamon
* ¼ teaspoon salt
* ½ cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
