Ingredients

* 8 ounces mascarpone cheese, softened

* 1 cup heavy cream, chilled

* 2 large eggs, separated

* ½ cup granulated sugar

* 2 tablespoons high-quality matcha powder

* 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

* 24 store-bought ladyfingers

* 1 cup strong brewed coffee, cooled

* ¼ cup coffee liqueur (optional)

* 1 tablespoon matcha powder, for dusting

* Unsweetened cocoa powder, for dusting (optional)

Instructions

1. Prepare the Matcha Cream: Beat egg yolks and sugar until pale and thick. Beat mascarpone cheese until smooth, then add vanilla extract. Combine egg yolk mixture and mascarpone. Beat heavy cream until stiff peaks form. Fold matcha powder into mascarpone mixture, then gently fold in whipped cream.

2. Prepare the Ladyfingers: Combine cooled coffee and coffee liqueur (if using).

3. Assemble the Tiramisu: Dip each ladyfinger into the coffee mixture briefly. Arrange a layer of dipped ladyfingers in the dish. Spread half of the matcha cream over the ladyfingers. Repeat layers.

4. Chill and Set: Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight. Dust with matcha powder before serving.
