This easy Ronzoni lasagna recipe is a family favorite, perfect for a weeknight meal or a special occasion. It’s simple to make and easily adaptable to your preferences!
* Meat Sauce:
* 1 tablespoon olive oil
* 1 large onion, chopped
* 2 cloves garlic, minced
* 1 pound ground beef (or Italian sausage, turkey, or plant-based substitute)
* 28 ounces crushed tomatoes
* 15 ounces tomato sauce
* 1 teaspoon dried oregano
* 1/2 teaspoon dried basil
* Salt and pepper to taste
* Cheese Filling:
* 15 ounces ricotta cheese (whole milk or part-skim)
* 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
* 1 large egg
* 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley (or 1 tablespoon dried parsley)
* Salt and pepper to taste
* Other:
* 9 Ronzoni lasagna noodles (oven-ready or regular)
* 1 tablespoon olive oil (for the baking dish)
* 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1. Prepare the Meat Sauce: Heat olive oil in a large pot, add onion and cook until softened. Add garlic, then ground beef, and cook until browned. Drain excess grease. Stir in crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, oregano, basil, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 15 minutes.
2. Make the Cheese Filling: Combine ricotta, Parmesan, egg, parsley, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
